Refund Policy

This policy describes how refunds work for Hephra reservation deposits.

1. Refundable Deposits

The $25 deposit you may place on the Hephra site reserves a position in our early customer cohort. It is not a purchase or a final order.

2. Your Right to a Refund

You may request a refund of your $25 deposit at any time before the Hephra product ships to you. This right is unconditional — you don't need a reason.

To request a refund:

  1. Email james@hephratools.com from the email address you used at deposit.

  2. Include "Refund request" in the subject line.

  3. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and process the refund within 14 days.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Depending on your bank, the refund may take 5-10 additional business days to appear on your statement.

3. Automatic Refunds

In addition to refunds you request, Hephra will automatically refund your deposit in the following situations:

  • If we cannot deliver the product within 12 months of your deposit date, we will refund automatically and notify you by email.

  • If we discontinue the Hephra product before delivering to you, we will refund automatically.

  • If we wind down operations, all outstanding deposits will be refunded as part of our obligations.

4. Refundable Deposit

If you choose to place a refundable deposit of $25 to reserve a spot in our early customer cohort:

  • The deposit reserves a position in line for an early Hephra unit. It is not a purchase or an order.

  • The deposit is fully refundable at any time before product shipment. To request a refund, email james@hephratools.com with the email address you used at deposit. We will process refunds within 14 days.

  • The deposit will be applied as a credit toward the price of your Hephra purchase when the product becomes available, if you choose to complete the order. Final product pricing will be communicated before any additional charge is made.

  • If we cannot deliver the product within 12 months of your deposit, we will automatically refund your deposit and notify you.

  • If we discontinue the product or wind down operations, we will automatically refund all outstanding deposits.

  • Deposits are processed through Stripe. Hephra never sees or stores your full payment information.

  • The deposit is held by Hephra (not in escrow) and may be used for working capital during product development. This is industry standard for hardware pre-orders.

5. When Refunds Apply

This refund policy applies to deposits placed on hephratools.com through Stripe. It does not apply to:

  • Final product purchases once Hephra products are available for sale (which will have their own return policy at that time).

  • Subscriptions to the Hephra coaching service (not yet available).

  • Any other payment to Hephra outside the deposit reservation program.

6. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a question about a charge or refund, please email us first at james@hephratools.com — we will resolve it quickly. Filing a chargeback with your bank before contacting us slows resolution for both parties.
